Geddy Lee And Alex Lifeson Interview For Beyond The Lighted Stage
Переглядів 62 тис.11 років тому
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson interview for Beyond the Lighted Stage. I thought this was already on youtube but I can't find it now so here it is, maybe for the first time or maybe it's just back from the dead. Or maybe I just couldn't find it again.
My Favorite Headache Documentary
Переглядів 136 тис.11 років тому
This is the electronic press kit that was made to promote Geddy Lee's My Favorite Headache album in 2000. I'm trying as hard as I can not to upload stuff that's already on youtube but in this case I just realized that the copy that's already up is in a much lower resolution compared to the one I have. So, enjoy!
Neil Peart Full Interview On The Hour
Переглядів 1,2 млн11 років тому
Neil's full interview on The Hour. The full web-exclusive "bonus" portion of the interview with Neil going over Moving Pictures track by track is already up but only a 4 minute clip of the main broadcast interview has been posted. Here's the full 20 minutes. The last 4 minutes is the musical guest, I was just too lazy to edit it out. Enjoy!
Rush Roll The Bones Tour Encore
Переглядів 13 тис.12 років тому
Just the encore from the Roll the Bones tour in Jacksonville, Florida in 1992. It's amateur footage but the quality is really pretty good for being 20 years old. I mostly just put this up because the band is having so much fun, Alex is being completely silly throughout and Neil even does a Pete Townshend-style windmill during Finding My Way. I posted this before but now it's in one video instea...

Alex Lifeson - Victor - Promise Video 1996
It's just a flesh wound
I've always like their music growing up but I earned a new respect for this band from their documentary. The bond that they had was tremendous and how musicians should behave. He is also proof that people who are well read are extremely interesting and intelligent.

Frown still practicing 😊look I'm calling Lily Lost boys, she is getting dressed fast play 🎸
without reading any of his works and bike riding, did he ever pass thru the northeast usa, moreover rhode island???.anyone?
RIP Neil, He was Great, & will be missed by all !
Are you on trial, carpet cleaner time to clean the crawlers 🎸👹
One of the best Rush albums in the catalogue!👍
He wasn’t just a drummer. He was a master percussionist who also happened to pen the most thought provoking and intelligent lyrics ever in music. Oh and a best selling author to boot. Rest easy, Professor! 😔
All hearing any of this does is makes me want to listen to The Fountain of Lamneth or Xanadu 🎵💕🎵💕
for someone who hates interviews. Its a shame he is such a great interview haha.
He is my 2nd favorite PROFESSOR ❤
Power Windows is beyond underrated. There isn't a bad song on this album, and their talent shines.
Gene Simmons takes full credit and will be sending you all a bill in the mail shortly.
Imagine his surprise when he got to the other side and found out reincarnation is absolutely real 😅 Til I meet your soul again! ❤❤
Such a man full of adventurers Neil and his Excursion 🧡♥️💜
Besides being a brilliant musician, he is a. Very real - compassionate person. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
6:00 George: “You were on the road with Aerosmith and KISS when they were REALLY partying. Like, madness.” Neil: “Oh! Causalities!” Fantastic description. Rest well, Professor.
The aircraft is a Canadair CF-5, a licensed-built Northrop F-5 , not an F-18
Awful song
This album is an absolute MASTERPIECE!
Neil always represented himself and his country with dignity and respect.
Cool seeing old MTV footage of RUSH! Love it
What a great guy. A true original.
Signals, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire and Grace Under Pressure = awesome synth albums
I don't know, I think Canada's done pretty well for its self in terms or rock with Rush, Tragically Hip, Unleash the Archers, and Skinny Puppy. And they're making it sound like Rush is somehow the only rock band ever to write songs inspired by "nerdy" stuff like Tolkien and D&D... as if that makes them any less badass. Oh yeah, this is one of those shows that made up or ignored shit in order to try to force a joke and attempt to be funny. It's not like this is a documentary on Canadian music or a historical record or anything. Probably doesn't even deserve to be archived on youtube, lol.
Such a classic, *underrated* album. This behind the scenes vid is a treasure.
Prog rock was around before RUSH....ever heard of Yes?
Such eloquence from Geddy Lee. A lovely interview.
RIP to the professor. An absolute legend
Stupid cancer :(
Y’all have known them as long as me, don’t yall think that they are something more than human?!! I still can’t get enough of them! A. J. C., III 21 Dec 23
I love his inner Scottish character that comes through 🥃
I read his books ,very interesting events for a rock star under very unfortunate circumstances during the bands hiatus . although I'm surprised the record company let him ride a motorcycle throughout a tour I've heard of people like Steve Vai whom couldn't ride his bikes within the dates of the record deal even when home an off the road. I'm glad he made it through unharmed And enjoyed him live around 9 times up un till the last one 2015. He was and will always be an inspiration.
Geddy is ready to roll down those power windows in his Jaguar, and let that mud flap mullet flap in the BEEEZE!!! Hell yeah
I think Neil probably felt he needed to play at perfection levels live. That is a Virgo trait.
I was there and vaguely remember seeing the ad. Terrible venue, awful acoustics but absolutely brilliant show. It was my first time seeing Rush live and it wouldn't be the last....
Neil is so stressed out but gives great answers in a rapid paste.
lmfao... fookn Aerosmith pssies.. they knew better. Rush miles n miles ahead of that commercial band ...
Jeff Healey is a fantastic guitarist... But come on.. Alex is even underrated in his own country? Without a doubt ALEX is the best!
Was there another keyboard player on power windows? Sounded like that what the MTV VJ was saying.
Neil was not only a professor on the drums, he was a professor of the heart. RIP Neil until we get to hear you again
RIP to Neil Peart "The Professor"...
What a colossal waste of time. Neil was so gracious and humble. It was nice to see how he handled this awkward situation. Bill bloviates too much back then and I believe squandered his guest’s time. I used to think his show was so good back then😆
I have watched this so many times. Thanks!
Not to nitpick-and the overly-common irritant of the mispronunciation of Neil’s last name notwithstanding-but you’d think they’d at least *try* to get the information right in these interviews…that was, of course, Time Stand Still, and most certainly NOT Distant Early Warning playing at 3:29, despite the fact they chose to put the latter title up on the screen.
Thank you for sharing this - there was some footage I'd never seen before! 🙂
Neil Peart was a kind, gentle soul, excellent writer, story teller, scholor, bookworm, Motor cyclist, traveler, greatest drummer ever! , and a high quality human being. loved you so much Neil.
I saw RUSH 6 times, all before 1982. I thank technology for allowing me to see them now again & again! But these interviews are great! To see inside the mind behind all those great lyrics Neil wrote is truly amazing!
Something that just hit me, his voice sounds like Jeff Goldblum if his head wasn’t in the clouds
