Geddy Lee And Alex Lifeson Interview For Beyond The Lighted Stage
Переглядів 63 тис.11 років тому
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson interview for Beyond the Lighted Stage. I thought this was already on youtube but I can't find it now so here it is, maybe for the first time or maybe it's just back from the dead. Or maybe I just couldn't find it again.
My Favorite Headache Documentary
Переглядів 137 тис.11 років тому
This is the electronic press kit that was made to promote Geddy Lee's My Favorite Headache album in 2000. I'm trying as hard as I can not to upload stuff that's already on youtube but in this case I just realized that the copy that's already up is in a much lower resolution compared to the one I have. So, enjoy!
Neil Peart Full Interview On The Hour
Переглядів 1,2 млн12 років тому
Neil's full interview on The Hour. The full web-exclusive "bonus" portion of the interview with Neil going over Moving Pictures track by track is already up but only a 4 minute clip of the main broadcast interview has been posted. Here's the full 20 minutes. The last 4 minutes is the musical guest, I was just too lazy to edit it out. Enjoy!
Rush Roll The Bones Tour Encore
Переглядів 14 тис.12 років тому
Just the encore from the Roll the Bones tour in Jacksonville, Florida in 1992. It's amateur footage but the quality is really pretty good for being 20 years old. I mostly just put this up because the band is having so much fun, Alex is being completely silly throughout and Neil even does a Pete Townshend-style windmill during Finding My Way. I posted this before but now it's in one video instea...

Geddy is a Leo and it shows.
Best encore ever!! They rocked the house
How is this nerd one of the greatest if not thee greatest drummer ever?
a girl and i went to rush counterparts concert she wanted to
An outstanding interview. Treasured memories forever of this great man.
Mr. Neil Peart - The Professor - Percussionist Perfectionist - May he rest in peace.
What a drummer!
I'm imagining Geddy Lee belting it out with the nuns lol
You can hear future lyrics of songs in his mind.
Yo. It's FAVOURITE, not favorite.
Incredible album Crew .. thanks.
Best band...ever.
as an artist we are only as expressive in our art , as we are in life , when not expressing innthat art form. His genius is glaring , anything he applies it to ? well lol ... we know the rest . What a wonderful human. RIP KING
God, I miss Neil
This has got to be the most underrated album. It's been in constant rotation in my Playlists since it came out. I wore a hole in my cd. Not joking. This album was such a surprise. Edwin is awesome. I saw I Mother Earth in '96 at Rockstock im WI. I wasnt real familiar with them. My brother had played them before.
It hurts to watch this. What an ironic death, what a huge loss.
Geddy said he wanted his music to endure… Power Windows is a masterpiece in my opinion..
This song should have been a hit.
I was more influenced by Neil as a lyricist he and John Arch from Fates Warning was also a huge influence
Awesome tune! Hard to believe thats not Getty and Neil playing,,,,sounds just like them. But Edwin on vocals from IME (great band) is killer!!
Did neil know he had cancer at this point?
Jesus Christ, what a fucking legend. Rush is just a little bit before my time, but my God what a humble and personable man. And I've watched the videos where this MF absolutely SLAYS like forty percussion instruments around him like it's fucking nothing. He was a beast, but so engaging and human when you sat him down and asked him questions.
Rush was one of those bands that didn't care about being the most famous or successful. They just cared about getting better and having a good time. They got their following because they created great songs and gave people an amazing experience that was worth the money. Neil would always go back to his room or trailer and read. He didn't like talking to fans a lot, he didn't like the idea of a musician being seen as a god or having people know a lot about him. He was a very private person. But I never saw Rush as anything more than masters of their craft and genuine people. They did musical success the right way. It really sucks he's dead. And it's going to really suck the other guys go too. Truly a family feeling with Rush.
First time I ever saw this interview! Outstanding interview!! Geddy “ Fantasy Man” Lee!!
I love this interview. Although I will say… that moment at 10:09 hits so much harder now. We really do miss you Neil so much
Thanks for sharing!
I miss Neil Peart. His logic is undeniable!
Rush's synth era got me into electronic music in general.
Hilarious interview. Great job by the host, and Geddy is engaging as always.
They could of just knocked out Moving pictures over and over. But they moved on and by Power Windows they were truly unique
My go to Interview when I need inspiration A laugh or a cry
Watching this in 2024 and the thing that struck me most was the ad for Corel WordPerfect 7
Neil was a true artist
o have all of perts books sometimes i get bored and reread them again. never get old. he was a wonderful human however this band sucks. the lead singer needs to lose about 300 pounds and his guitar playing is not all that good bu tthen again i am used to good bands like rush and led Zeplin and the doors and lol the list goes on. least i forget burton cummings. not to shappy for a canuk lol
Damn that band at the end sucks ass
wth was that at the end, wow
I pray that Neil came to know Jesus Christ!
Very good
Listening to Neil talk is like going to master class at the most notorious university. The way he talks is like his song writing, he just captures your attention y teaches you so much you get like paralyzed in awe....
DAMN! Wish they would have released concert footage from the 90’s tours. Some of the best set lists and sound in that decade. No 20th or 30th anniversary box sets of Presto, RTB, Counterparts or t4E😂 obviously.🥲🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎹🎤
Mystic Rhythms is a wonderfully put together piece and is my favorite from Power Windows.
I'm in tears watching this.Miss this wonderful artist :(
The Holy Trinity of drummers. Bonham, Moon, and Peart. All different. All Great.
At 40 seconds he was alluding to Metallica
hail the professor,rip
Stunning to think that this was just before his whole world came crashing down on him. I know that it seems crazy to love someone you've never met (and he would absolutely HATE it), I genuinely love and deeply miss him. The world truly was a much better place with him in it but, since he had to go, I'm so grateful for what he left behind. Rest easy, Bubba.
It's just a flesh wound
I've always like their music growing up but I earned a new respect for this band from their documentary. The bond that they had was tremendous and how musicians should behave. He is also proof that people who are well read are extremely interesting and intelligent.
